Peru COE #8 Sillapata

Peru COE #8 Sillapata

by Blendin Coffee Club

This coffee placed 8th in the Peru Cup of Excellence 2024, earning an impressive score of 89.21. The Sillapata farm was established in early 2020, following the lunar calendar during the waxing crescent phase. Don Raúl cultivates the Geisha variety in his nursery, carefully tending to each plant. The farm s name, Sillapata, is inspired by the region s geography—its hill resembles the shape of a silla (Spanish for chair ). Situated at 2,231 MASL, the farm provides an ideal high-altitude environment for coffee cultivation. The coffee plants thrive under the natural shade of Albizia and Pacay Mono trees, with a 2 2 meter planting arrangement on a gently sloping terrain.
