Variety: Pink Bourbon Process: Washed Sourced by: Coffee Quest US As some may know, BOTZ is pink bourbon obsessed. Our database is full of flavor experiences and combinations and we’re always looking for new trends in the variety’s expression. Finca La Esmeralda provided a coffee that “beeped” our tropical detection radar. In comparison to our last few pink bourbon releases, we find this coffee to offer a mystifying tropical mix (like when you throw back all the skittles together) with a strawberry jam-limeade acidity (a burst of red/highlighter green if you will). We have found dissecting this coffee to be particularly enjoyable. Like most of the best coffees we’ve experienced, the flavor impressions and sensations seem to transmute in the cup. One minute you might experience fresh yellow fruits like pineapple with a jolt of light limeade, only to be shocked that your next sip a minute later leans more artificial berry and thick orange marmalade.
