Decaf Coffee Beans

by Chiasso Coffee Roasters

Mexican Mountain Water Decaf Smooth, darker roast provides a mellow, low acid flavour with medium body and sweetness.  Hard to believe it's decaf when it tastes this good!   What is the Mountain water process for Decaf coffee? Mountain Water Process Decaffeination is a unique, natural process; using the clear, pure water from the glaciers on the highest and most beautiful mountain in Mexico, the Pico de Orizaba or Citlatepet. In basic terms the process works by immersing the green beans in water in order to extract the caffeine content. The water preserves the soluble flavour components of the green beans and this protects the original characteristics of the coffee. The resulting green coffee is 99.9% caffeine-free. The beans are then dried to the required moisture content prior to importation. It costs more this way, but it's worth it.    Recommended for: Espresso, Filter, Plunger
