Drawn by Planadas’ ideal growing conditions, Aseneth Bedoya began farming coffee ten years ago, learning everything from scratch with support from local institutions. Today, she masters roasting, cupping, and crafting refined profiles. Maranatha is home to Geisha, Caturra, Typica and Yellow Bourbon, preserving towering native trees and serving as a sanctuary for countless bird species. Although not certified yet, Aseneth farms with regenerative, shade-grown practices that nurture the soil and protect the native ecosystem. She handpicks only the ripest cherries every three weeks, pulping them the next morning and fermenting them for 24–42 hours before she slowly sun-dries them for up to 15 days, depending on weather conditions.
