Kagunyu Factory is located near Karatina in Nyeri County and is operated by the Rumukia Farmers Cooperative Society. It serves 595 smallholder farmers cultivating SL and Ruiru varieties on the volcanic slopes of the Aberdare range. Cherries are hand-sorted, washed using the traditional Kenyan process, and dried on raised beds. The result is a complex cup with juicy acidity and deep sweetness. This AA lot shows layered notes of black cherry, red currant, and tangerine—an expressive example of Nyeri’s high-grown coffees.
