Lemon sherbet, blackberry honey. --- The pioneering Vava Coffee brings us this lot from the Kuture factory on the slopes of Mount Elgon in Bungoma, Kenya. Ngoma means Drum in Kiswahili—Bungoma was named from eng'oma—the Bukusu word for drums. Kutere factory is one of two wet mills under Kikai Cooperative Society in Western Kenya. The factory is located in the Namwela division on the southern slopes of Mount Elgon and lying on the Kenya-Uganda border. The town was originally a meeting place for Bukusu elders. The sound of drums would emanate from the area as the meeting venue, leading to its eventual naming as Bungoma. The fertile lands of Mt Elgon that are farmed by the Co-op have produced a coffee full of tart blackberry, carried on lemon sherbet sweetness swirls of honey. --- Suggested Recipe ~~~ In: 22g Out: 46g Time: 27sec Temp: 95°C
