Guji is a distinct coffee-producing area, located approximately 300 to 400 km south of Addis Ababa in the Oromia region. Traditionally, Guji coffees were grouped with those from Yirgacheffe and Sidamo, but today they are celebrated for their unique local varieties and microclimates that produce distinct flavour profiles. Farming in Guji remains largely traditional and organic by default, with coffee plants intercropped alongside food crops.
