Brewing Steps
  1. 1. Bloom with 45g water for 30 seconds, gently stir to fully wet grounds
  2. 2. Pour to 225g by 0:45 — add the remaining water in 1–2 steady pours, stir once gently to settle
  3. 3. Close lid and steep; at 1:45 flip the Hario Switch to start drawdown and let filter fully drain (expect drawdown by ~2:30–3:00)
  4. 4. Total time ~2:30–3:00. Serve immediately after drain completes; enjoy while hot

  • 💡 Use the Switch to its strength: full immersion for even extraction, then flip to clarify the cup — gentle stir during bloom and after full pour improves extraction for a strong blend
  • 💡 Key factor: control drawdown time (aim for 30–45s of visible drain). If drain is too fast, grind finer; too slow, grind coarser
Troubleshooting

Sour → grind finer by 2–3 clicks, increase water temp 1–2°C or extend steep by 15–30s. Bitter → grind coarser by 2–3 clicks, lower temp 1–2°C or shorten steep/drawdown time.
