Hario Switch

Temperature
93°C (199°F)
Ratio
1:15 (15g : 225g water)
Grind
1Zpresso J — ~30 clicks (medium-fine)
Grind Adjustment

if sour: grind 1–2 clicks finer, raise temp 1–3°C or increase steep time; if bitter: grind 1–2 clicks coarser, lower temp 1–3°C or shorten steep/drain earlier

Brewing Steps
  1. 1. Bloom with 40g water for 30 seconds
  2. 2. Pour to 150g by 0:45 (steady, even circular pour)
  3. 3. Top to 225g by 1:15, let steep undisturbed until 2:00 then press the Switch to drain
  4. 4. Total time ~2:15–2:30. Serve immediately; for milk drinks use as brewed or combine with steamed milk to taste
Pro Tips
  • 💡 Use gentle, even circular pours and a full 40g bloom to release CO2 — even saturation preserves the Daily Blend's malt, milk chocolate and caramel sweetness.
  • 💡 Dial grind in 1-click steps around 30 clicks; temperature and grind are the primary levers for this light roast — aim for ~93°C and a ~2:15 extraction.
Troubleshooting

Sour → Grind 1–2 clicks finer, raise temperature 1–3°C or extend steep time slightly. Bitter → Grind 1–2 clicks coarser, lower temperature 1–3°C or shorten steep/drain earlier.
