Kii AB

Kii AB

by Mecca Coffee

Located in the southern foothills of Mount Kenya, the Kii factory benefits from its position on rich, fertile red volcanic soil—an ideal setting for growing outstanding Kenyan coffee. Local farmers, who typically manage half-acre plots with around 250 coffee trees, have been consistently delivering their hand-picked cherries to the Kii factory for years. These farms overlook the famous elephant migration route that connects Aberdare and Mt. Kenya Forest. Along with elephants, many other wild animals are in the area, such as buffaloes, antelopes, and monkeys. These, as well as many others, often find their way onto the farms to graze on the grassland or chew on the sweet coffee cherries. We’re excited for this one! Expect rhubarb and blackcurrant in the cup.
