The area’s subtropical, highland monsoon climate provides optimal conditions for slow cherry maturation, with an average elevation of 1,940 meters, an annual temperature of 19.5°C, and rainfall of 1,335 mm. The Tiankeng Base, one of Autumn Amber’s key growing areas, sits at over 1,600 meters. Its volcanic soil, composed of decomposed volcanic ash, is exceptionally rich in potassium, phosphorus, calcium, magnesium, and iron—minerals that contribute to enhanced acidity, sweetness, and flavour clarity. The high-altitude conditions create significant day-night temperature variations, slowing the development of the coffee cherries and intensifying their complexity.
