This high elevation and cool climate allow cherries to ripen slowly, resulting in denser beans with more intense sweetness and acidity. Kibingo serves over 1,700 registered growers across 18 hills. Producers are organised into groups of 30, each led by a farm leader who helps coordinate communication and quality with the station team. The station is well-equipped with 10 fermentation tanks, 2 soaking tanks, and 165 raised drying beds. It has the capacity to process 750,000 kg of cherry per day during peak season — ensuring efficiency without compromising quality.
