Colombia Yadimir Quiguanas Pérez Bourbon Ají

In 2019, a visit to Colombia led to a fruitful partnership with Fernando Oka and Yadimir Quiguanas Pérez, culminating in this Bourbon Aji variety from Huila. This unique variety caused a stir in the Cup of Excellence in 2021, and genetic testing proved this variety to be not a bourbon, but a part of the Ethiopia Landrace family. The colloquial name of Bourbon Aji has stuck, despite it's genetic lineage.
