The Kainamui factory supports 1,800 smallholder coffee farmers, including 600 women, all members of the New Ngariama Farmers Cooperative. On average, each farmer owns 200 trees on less than half a hectare of land, growing coffee alongside gravellea, macadamia nuts, eucalyptus, tea, corn, and bananas. The factory hosts field visits from agricultural officials and agro-companies offering training. The cooperative also provides pre-financing to help farmers with school fees, production costs, and emergencies.
