This coffee is sourced from the Sipi Falls Coffee Project, started in 1999,involving over 5,000 smallholder producers across 2,000 hectares, benefiting around 3.5 million families. The project trains farmers to enhance yield and quality through sustainable practices and intercropping. Grown on the Elgon mountain slopes in Mbale, Sironko, and Kapchorwa Districts, at altitudes of 1,300 to 1,900 meters, coffee is a vital income source for rural families and key to Uganda's economy.
