Brewing Steps
  1. 1. Bloom with 30g water for 30s (ensure all grounds are saturated, give one gentle stir).
  2. 2. Pour to 225g total by 1:00 (steady spiral pour, aim for even saturation), gently stir once to break crust.
  3. 3. Place lid and let steep. At 3:00 (total brew time) flip the Hario Switch to release the brew and allow to drain completely (~10–20s).
  4. 4. Total time ~3:10 (including pour and drain). Decant immediately and serve.

  • 💡 Use a gentle stir during the bloom and a single calm stir after full pour to promote even extraction; avoid aggressive agitation which can push bitterness.
Troubleshooting

Sour → grind finer 2-3 clicks, raise temp 1–2°C or extend steep 15–30s. Bitter → grind coarser 2-3 clicks, shorten steep 15–30s, or lower temp 1–2°C.
