Lagoinha Farm has a legacy of over a hundred years in coffee production, originally established by a local family in the picturesque South Minas region. In 2019, the farm began a new chapter when it was purchased by long-time business partners Matheus Avellar and Carlos Eduardo Canellas. Under their ownership, and with the leadership of Matheus’ wife, Tatiana Reis, the farm underwent a complete transformation. Tatiana introduced modern management techniques, comprehensive employee training, and a focus on specialty coffee production. These efforts have preserved the farm’s historical roots while propelling it into the forefront of high-quality, sustainable coffee farming. Lagoinha Farm has seen significant improvements in its operations since its acquisition. With 20% of its coffee fields irrigated by a drip system, the farm balances traditional and modern agricultural techniques to optimize water usage and crop health.
